The Indonesian Extensive Reading Association (IERA) is established on October 21, 2016 with the help from the Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF). The foundation has a big concern in helping educators, practitioners to find ways to help their students to be more literate. Thus, ERF affiliates with numerous countries to spread the awareness of the importance of literacy. The newest member to the affiliation is IERA, based at the English Education Study Program Sanata Dharma University, Indonesia. IERA accomodates workshops that provide insights, ideas, and ways to increase literacy awareness in schools and helping policy makers in the schools to understand the importance of establishing libraries along with the reading programs.
